How to Build Capacity

In Our World Today

Slowing down to listen to your body is an act of rebellion in our fast-paced world, that keeps us disconnected.

Everything around you is fast, demanding, and overstimulating. So you keep going. Pushing through. Holding it all together. Until you can't do it anymore.

You snap when you don't mean to. You know what to do, but can't access it in the moment because you're overwhelmed.

Your nervous system is trying to protect you.

You don’t need more strategies, more patience, or to try harder. You need capacity.

Why is capacity important?

Capacity is the difference between reacting and responding. Not because you’re trying harder, but because your body has the space to stay with what’s happening without becoming completely overwhelmed.

Your child refuses to get dressed

Without capacity you snap, things escalate, you feel guilty

With capacity you remain calm, explain why & support them - you both start your day happy

You get critical feedback at work

Without capacity you spiral and feel yourself bracing

With capacity you respond clearly - it's just feedback

Your partner forgets to pick up dinner ingredients

Without capacity you immediately get annoyed & both your backs are up for the evening - your child feels it & reacts

With capacity you remain steady & explain why this was important and figure out a system for next time

An unexpected bill hits

Without capacity you panic - and everyone gets on edge

With capacity you calmly navigate how to work through it

You get sick... which affects everything

Without capacity you push through... and it gets worse

With capacity you slow down & recover - your health is #1

If any of this feels familiar and you’re tired of holding it all together…

If you want something that actually works with your body— join me to start building capacity today.

Simple, practical, body-based tools you can begin using right away.

$49 for lifetime access & community support.

This is for you if you...

  • Notice you're on-edge, holding your breath - feeling like you're always bracing for the next thing

  • Are exhausted, overwhelmed or burnt-out... and are ready for more ease in your life

  • Have a child who's reactive or tends to shut down, because they are overwhelmed...which puts you on edge

  • Have tried lots of tools but nothing seems to work for you - or help when you really need it

  • Want practical & Somatic (body-based) tools to help you create a solid foundation

It's time to get off the treadmill and actually put you first - because if you don't have capacity your health, relationships and even finances become compromised. This video course with 7 guided modules breaks down the foundations I guide my Clinical Counselling clients through. Without this we can't create sustainable change, we're just adding more to an overwhelmed system.

Welcome! If you're new to gloWithin™, I have been supporting clients through Somatics for over 15 years. I began learning these practices as a child, and pursuing formal learning in this field shortly after leaving the business world, when I realized I needed to realign my life for my wellbeing. Since then I created a Registered Children's Yoga School, became a Craniosacral Therapist & Neuroaffirming Somatic Clinical Counsellor. I have walked this path and am passionate about bringing you real tools to empower you!

What if I don't have time for something else?

This isn’t something to add to your life. It’s something that makes your life feel more manageable. It's short, sweet & accessible. You can return to it whenever you like... but the beauty is, when you start here - you've laid a foundation so you don't need to keep coming back!

Will this actually work for me?

This is about learning how to work with your body— so things begin to shift naturally. Often we don't even recognize there is a lack of safety in the body, we just feel 'on-edge' almost all the time... because for many this is normal. With guided supported, I encourage you to gently foster capacity, so day to day feels less overwhelming... and you experience greater inner-peace.

No complicated routines.
No forcing yourself to “calm down.”

No overriding what feel or your boundaries.

Just small shifts that help your body remember safety again.

What happens when your system has more capacity?

This isn't about becoming perfectly calm. It's about helping your body feel safe enough to be present. We're working with your body - not against it.

And when your system feels safer:

• You recover from difficult moments faster

• You feel less overwhelmed by everyday stress
• Your body softens instead of constantly bracing
• You can support children or others without becoming depleted
• Life feels more spacious, manageable, and calm

Build capacity without adding more to your already full plate, without overriding your needs.

You might be wondering...

What is Somatic Work, Therapy, or Coaching?

"Soma" is Greek for body, and so Somatic Therapy is body-based. Lately this has become a bit of a buzz word, and for good reason, as so many are disconnected from their bodies due to lifestyle, demands, an overstimulated society, and trauma. I have also been here and at one point was so disconnected from my body, because it didn't feel like a safe place to be. While our experiences are unique, it is connection that allows us to heal and grow. But I suspect you are here because you recognize this, and are looking to create positive change in your life!

When I was a child my wise mother gave me the gift of breath and meditation, and often asked me "what is your body saying?" Around the age of 7 I began playing with yoga forms, and noticed that they released tension or brought up sensation and emotion in different areas of my body. This is the basis of Somatic work, therapy or coaching - the integration of our experiences from physiological, emotional, cognitive, and energetic perspectives. Essentially Somatic Therapy is a holistic practice, however; everyone practices it differently... so it's good to ask.

What I do as a Somatic Coach?

As this is and always has been integral to my work, I incorporate somatic coaching into all I do, from my online courses, to Craniosacral & Yoga, to Clinical Counselling and Speaking since 2011. I support clients to develop greater awareness around their body sensations, how this informs their emotions, thought patterns, subsequent behaviours, and beyond. This helps you to tune into your body wisdom, release patterns no longer serving, and create greater alignment in your life.

How I practice it differs depending on the client, their age, their learning and sensing type, and what modalities we are working with. Ultimately my purpose is to guide you back into connection with your body, so you can experience greater health, peace, love, joy, and gloWithin!

How is this different to your other courses?

Great question! On the surface there does seem to be overlap with Reset & Reconnect and maybe even Authentically You, without Burnout. They all support nourishing your nervous system and wellbeing, but in different ways. Reset & Reconnect guides you through my foundational 4 steps - with the guided video course going much deeper and exploring foundational practices to support each step. Authentically You, without Burnout is a pdf guide packed with over 50 pages of Somatic-based reflection questions & practical steps to create greater alignment, so your system is constantly overwhelmed. How to Build Capacity in Our World Today focuses on key elements that detract from our capacity, and how to proactively foster greater capacity so sustainable wellbeing (and calm) is possible.
