Prenatal + Postnatal
Yoga Teacher Training
In our Prenatal + Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training (40h YACEP), you will learn tools to empower mother and child on this transformational journey. We go beyond asana, to explore a trauma sensitive approach to the physiological and the nervous system influences between mother and child, drawing upon Katie's 14 years experience teaching Prenatal Yoga, Clinical Counselling and Craniosacral & Somatic practice, and being a mom herself. In sharing this approach in your classes, you offer moms a space to be seen, heard, and connect more deeply with their child.
"Katie is kind, gentle and supportive. She manages to create a welcoming, safe and encouraging space to practice.
In her classes, it feels easy to just be who you are, share what is on your mind and in your heart or just allow yourself to be nurtured by the energy in the room, if you choose to do so. She is also one of the most knowledgeable teachers I've come across, putting emphasis on practicing safely from a physical point of view, as well as teaching students how to apply the yoga philosophy in practical ways in our everyday lives. I am really happy I took the pre & postnatal yoga teacher training with Katie and recommend it to anyone who is looking to teach, support and empower women throughout those important times of their lives."
DIANA
In our Prenatal + Postnatal Yoga Teacher Training we support you in creating an empowering environment for moms, partners, and babes. Additionally you will be equipped to support those who join your non-prenatal specific classes, so you feel confident in creating a brave space for them to connect and explore. In order to teach, you will need your 200h yoga teacher training.

Katie is a mama to two, an Expert Registered Yoga Teacher - ERYT-500, Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT), Registered Children's Yoga Teacher - RCYT, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Craniosacral + Somatoemotional Practitioner, and Masters of Counselling Candidate. She has worked with children and adults for over 20 years, and taught yoga since 2012. Her unique understanding of the emotions, the body, and the nervous system help her to empower those she works with. Learning meditation, breath-work and Somatic tools as a child inspired her life work! Katie prefers the more gentle (Yin) styles of yoga that nourish the nervous system to go within. After having two children, she feels even more called to hold space for Mother, child, and families. Katie hopes to inspire you with tools you can incorporate into your life and share with your clients, to empower them on this transformational journey!
I have been working in pelvic health for 12 years and have been a practicing physiotherapist for over 35 years. I’m well respected for my extensive knowledge of how our bodies work (which includes pelvic health), and my compassionate, caring, and straightforward treatment style. Having had two C-sections myself, a VBAC, chronic headaches, and multiple sports injuries, it’s safe to say I understand women’s and pelvic health issues intimately.
Empathetic, knowledgeable, and always professional (with a side of light-hearted humour!), I strive to make talking about pelvic health concerns easy and comfortable. I believe that working on people’s pelvic health is the best job in the world— and I think it shows!
Yoga is a wonderful way to move, know your essence, and, benefit from your breath. It’s perfect for moms!

Upon completion you will receive a 35h YACEP certification for continuing education if you are registered with Yoga Alliance. Otherwise, it's a great training to take for further knowledge, especially if you are working with pregnant and new (again) families.
This is a Yoga Alliance Continuing Education certification, so it is created based on students having a basic understanding of Yoga, however; you are welcome to take this training out of interest... but please know we won't be diving into skeletal variation or each form and how to hold poses perfectly (which isn't true for each person anyway) and other details you may learn in a 200h program. If you want to explore this for personal benefit and are pregnant or have just had a little one, I would recommend our Empowered Pregnancy + Beyond Course on the gloWithin App, which comes with a 1:1 session with Katie.
Of course! Please email [email protected] to arrange an interest-free payment plan after you have submitted your application.
