Your child becomes overwhelmed.
You try to stay calm, but your body is bracing.
And suddenly everyone is dysregulated... again.
Maybe you shut down to hold it together, or react in ways you wish you didn't.
Then the guilt starts. You second-guess yourself & replay it.
You wonder why nothing seems to work for your family the way it does for everyone else.
Trying to stay calm, while your child is overwhelmed... and your own nervous system has been in survival for too long, is nearly impossible.
And our sensitive children feel it.
They respond to the undercurrent of their environment. They notice the nuances, the emotional incongruencies, and relational patterns. They are highly perceptive. E
The problem is that most families are trying to fix things by focusing on behaviour, while overwhelmed.
But as I suspect you know (or why you're here)... it's not a behaviour issue.
That's why dinner time unravels.
Why 'simple' transitions feel impossible.
Why small moments suddenly become huge ones.
Why you're emotionally exhausted at the end of the day, quietly disappearing inside yourself.
To create sustainable change, we need to begin with Adaptive Masking™ - the protective mechanisms.
Until that foundation changes, no strategies will work and you won't see sustainable change.
You and your child will continue to abandon yourselves during challenging moments.
This is the missing piece most parenting support misses:
Underneath these protection mechanisms is a nervous system needing deep safety.
Not more pressure.
Not fixing.
Safety.
Our Adaptive Masking™ patterns are not ones we consciously choose.
They are deeply ingrained nervous system adaptations that served a purpose.
Which means real change happens through capacity & safety, not pressure.
And certainly not by doing more.
This is why I don’t just work with behaviour, but rather what lays beneath it.
Most importantly, this work helps restore capacity.
Because when a parent’s nervous system finally feels truly supported, everything changes.

You’ve tried strategies that don’t seem to stick
You’re exhausted carrying the emotional weight for everyone
You’re raising a sensitive or neurodivergent child and feel overwhelmed
You feel like you’re constantly anticipating the next meltdown or problem
You want support that understands both nervous systems and emotional depth
You know something deeper is happening beneath the behaviour
You want your child to feel safe being fully themselves

I’m an AuDHD mother to a ND family, and was raised in a ND family. This is part of why I do what I do as a Neuroaffirming Somatic Clinical Counsellor, Craniosacral Therapist, and Founder of a Registered Children’s Yoga School.
Since 2011, I’ve supported sensitive & ND families through nervous system, developmental, relational, and somatic support... but my learning began as a child.
As you will see below, I draw on a number of holistic modalities to support my clients in creating meaningful change in their lives. Sometimes this involves working at subconscious and unconscious levels, and always with the body.
I empower you to learn to trust your body again, and for you to empower your child, to stay connected to theirs.

This work asks you to slow down enough to listen to your child’s nervous system, and your own.
It's not a quick fix.
It's not performance-based parenting.
And it is not about becoming the “perfect” or regulated** parent.
It is about creating enough safety and capacity that your family no longer has to live in constant overwhelm.
** I have spoken out about the term 'regulated' since 2022, because it goes in the face of Somatic work. The goal is not regulation, which denotes keeping it contained, but rather self-awareness and healthy coping skills. Every emotion is valid and important.
I hear this often and many parents come to me after nothing else has worked, and wish they found my support first! Because we are working with the nervous system and family system as a whole, many families begin noticing meaningful shifts surprisingly quickly.
No worries - you will have the opportunity to seek extra support. You can also send me a message at the bottom of this page. I respond within 72hrs.
You don't need a diagnosis, or to have it all figured out - come as you are. If you're here, it's for a reason.
